Stockholm and Amsterdam Assistance

As you’ve probably notice, posting has been more sporadic than usual.
The reason? I’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time researching my upcoming vacation. I’m going to Stockholm and Amsterdam. I am putting out an open call to anyone who lives in or has been to either of those places to contact me and give me travel, sightseeing and nightlife tips. I’ve been to both, and my take was that those are two very different cities. Amsterdam is dirty and full of drunken Englishmen. The red-light district is a can’t-miss on a Friday/Saturday night though. They have urinals that pop out of the ground and hookers on full display.
Stockholm is a lot quieter. Swedes are very quiet, you’ll notice that few of them talk a lot in public. The old saying goes “the farther north they live, the less they talk” among Swedes and Norwegians. Something like 90% of them read a newspaper every day. Anyway, Skansen is worth going to. It’s beautiful. And, if you can, go to the Stockholm Archipelago. Take a boat tour or just go to one of the islands. They’re all beautiful. Get a guide book to help you pick which one you want to go to.

Reply to dcheroI’ve not been to either city but since you’re going to be in my neck of the woods and you’ve got time, I recommend a stop-over here in Prague. Walking around this city is like a stroll through an alternate universe where strip malls were never invented. Beer was perfected here hundreds of years ago. The indigenous females are prized throughout the world for their comeliness.
